I’m thrilled to step into the role of Chair of the Wesley College Foundation. Having served on the College Council as both Director and Chair, I welcome the opportunity to connect with passionate members of the Wesley community on the College’s philanthropic mission.
I’d like to warmly acknowledge Nicki Lefkovits (OW1990), who has led the Foundation with energy and dedication over the past seven years. Her passion for Wesley and the importance of giving has inspired many. I’m pleased that Nicki will continue to serve the College in her role as Council Member.
This year, we welcome Cameron Bacon (OW1987), former Chair of the College Council’s Finance, Audit and Risk Management Committee (FARM) and Hugo Stephenson (OW1991), former Council member, as new Directors. Joanna Johnson will lead FARM as its new Chair.
We are also delighted to welcome former Council member and Foundation Chair, Peter Harrison (OW1969) as Co-Patron of the Sapere Aude Bequest (SABS), joining dedicated Patron, Susie Rodgers-Wilson.
SABS plays a vital role in supporting the College’s future by cultivating a community of individuals who choose to give through estate planning, as well as through its engaging program of talks, tours and social events.
A heartfelt thank you to the entire Wesley community for your support on Giving Day, where we raised an incredible $163,772. We were especially encouraged by the number of individual donors, showing the depth of connection across alumni, staff and current and past parents.
A special thanks to our Matching Partner, Compnow, and to our Foundation team for launching both Giving Day and the Annual Appeal.
The Foundation plays a vital role in enabling Wesley’s educational mission. We have high aspirations to deliver on expanded scholarship offerings and the underpinning of a new masterplan for the College.
I look forward to engaging with many of you and sharing insights on how the College’s Foundation enables the Wesley of the future.
