1. All Scholarships are awarded on the basis of:
    • results of academic aptitude evidenced through relevant reports and Academic Testing where appropriate; and
    • supporting documentation provided as part of the application prior to closing date; and
    • an audition, where requested by the Scholarship Panel; and
    • an interview, where requested by the Scholarship Panel.
  2. To be eligible for a Scholarship at Wesley College, candidates must have Australian citizenship or be a permanent or temporary resident in Australia.
  3. Students awarded Scholarships are required to contribute fully to the life of the College, including maintaining standards as outlined in the Scholarship category. The College reserves the right to review a scholar’s performance at any time and withdraw Scholarships offered in circumstances where the terms of the Scholarship have not been met.
  4. The College reserves the right to request the completion of the financial assistance form each year for the duration of the student’s schooling where a means considered Scholarship has been awarded, and, in the event that circumstances have materially changed, the College reserves the right to amend the terms and amount of the Scholarship at its sole discretion.
  5. Scholarships are granted with the expectation that a student will complete Year 12 at Wesley College.  Should this not occur, then it is at the discretion of the College to require that the value equivalent to part or all of the Scholarship fee reductions be payable to the College.
  6. Before the end of each school year, each Scholarship recipient will be required to submit a written statement of their contribution to and achievements at the College. This statement should be provided to the Scholarship Panel who may provide it in whole or part to donors who have supported Scholarships and to the College community through various publications and communications.
  7. At any given time, a student may be the recipient of only one Wesley College Scholarship. Only one Scholarship may be awarded per family, unless otherwise endorsed by the Principal.
  8. The number, value and campus assigned to each Scholarship awarded in a given year may vary at the discretion of the Principal. Applicants may nominate their preferred Campus however the College reserves the right to allocate Scholarships solely at its own discretion.
  9. A Scholarship offer does not generally cover other costs such as Infrastructure Levy (Notebook Computer program), consolidated charges, uniforms, books, Clunes residential living expenses (Year 9), additional music tuition and all optional camps and tours. In exceptional circumstances, such costs may be covered in accordance with the request for consideration of means through the submission of a financial assistance form.
  10. A Scholarship may not be transferred from one campus to another except at the express discretion of the Principal.
  11. A Scholarship may not be deferred for a later year of entry.
  12. All scholarship applications, including current and OW families, will incur a non-refundable application fee: $90 for Excellence Scholarship, $100 for Boarding Scholarships.
  13. All decisions will be at the discretion of the Scholarship Panel. Offers will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  14. These Scholarship Terms and Conditions form part of the contract between the College and the parents or guardians who sign the Offer of Place at the College.
