Wesley’s boarding facility, Learning in Residence, is purpose-built for students in Years 7 to 12 – with contemporary residences located within the Glen Waverley campus. It provides a safe, nurturing, and dynamic environment where students are empowered and supported to make the most of every opportunity - academically, socially and personally.
Living and learning
Our innovative, student-centred boarding program is open to domestic students in Years 7 to 12 and to international students from Years 9 to 12. From the courses on offer to the architecture and location of the facility, everything has been designed to further enhance student learning.
Located at our Glen Waverley Campus, our state-of-the-art boarding facility provides a safe, supportive and enriching home away from home.

Wellbeing
Our dedicated wellbeing team, including live-in mentors and an extensive network of day school staff, provide comprehensive support and care for all boarders.
Our holistic model of care is delivered by a dedicated team of mentors, academic supervisors and teachers, registered nurses, medical practitioners, counsellors, psychologists and allied health service professionals.

Leadership
The Wesley Boarding leadership team have strong pastoral care values, vast experience in boarding school environments and a commitment to the ongoing development and support of every boarder.

Facilities
Learning in Residence differs from most traditional dormitory environments. Our facilities are designed as a series of individual residences integrated within the Glen Waverley Campus.
On-campus living provides a safe and secure environment. Boarders have convenient access to state-of-the-art study and recreational facilities, and exceptional pastoral care with high staff to student ratios.

Scholarships
Wesley’s Boarding Scholarships offer students the opportunity to live and learn within the contemporary boarding facilities at the Glen Waverley Campus.
2026 Boarding Scholarships are closed. 2027 scholarships will open late in 2025 for Australian citizens who demonstrate excellence in both academic and cocurricular endeavours and who will contribute strongly to the boarding community.

History of boarding
Boarding is an enduring element of Wesley’s DNA. It began in 1866, when Wesley College opened its doors for the first time.
Our first student, Freddie Binks, was also our first boarder, and he was followed by many generations of boarders who forged lifelong friendships.
