We are thrilled to share the success of a truly special project at Elsternwick this year, where creativity, community and sustainability came together in a vibrant celebration of art.
As part of our ongoing commitment to environmental awareness and creative learning, we welcomed renowned Australian artist Pamela Irving as our Artist in Residence. Known for her whimsical and expressive mosaic works, Pamela guided our students through an unforgettable artistic journey centred around the theme of Sustainability.
With the generous support of our school community, we collected a wide array of unwanted and broken china and ceramic pieces - items that might otherwise have ended up in landfill. Instead, these fragments were given new life as part of a permanent art installation on our campus.
The common motif for the beautiful pieces will come as no surprise - we now have five magic mosaic lions located around the campus!
