A Chorus Lion is a community group of Wesley parents (past and present), their friends and one OW!

CELEBRATING MAGGIE'S BIRTHDAY

New members are always welcome to join us and enjoy our Wednesday night weekly rehearsals, held during term time in the Stillwell Recital Centre at the St Kilda Road Campus.

Choir Director Maggie has a range of warm up activities that challenge both our brains and our breath. For example, saying the following tongue twister fast: 'Betty Botter bought a bit of butter, but the bit of butter Betty bought was bitter, so Betty bought another bit of butter to make the bitter butter better.' I find it’s much easier when the words are in front of you!

We have four groups: sopranos, altos, tenors and basses, and sheet music for a range of songs is provided. We practise for 90 minutes then adjourn to the Prahran Hotel for a quick wind down.

We perform at school functions, aged care facilities and have a couple of concerts for our families and friends. It’s a fun, rewarding group to be a part of - please let me know if you’d like more information, or come along to join in the fun.
