Our School Captains for 2026 are incredible young leaders, outstanding and dedicated students who are ready to lead with courage, uniting and being a champion for their peers.
Glen Waverley Campus School Captains
We are thrilled to introduce Olive and Archie.
School Captain Olive, who plays in the Girls First Cricket team and enjoys being on stage in performing arts, says, ‘I love helping others, and this role felt like a way to give back. I look forward to meeting more people across all the year levels and being a voice for students at Wesley. I have a lot of love for Wesley and can’t wait to share that with everyone.’
Co-Captain Archie is from Wagga Wagga, about 5 hours from Melbourne, and has been boarding since Year 9. ‘Without the support and guidance I’ve received at Wesley, I don’t think I would have been prepared to become a School Captain. From the opportunities in sport and the arts, to meeting such a diverse group of people and the experience of leaving my hometown and coming to such a different place. It’s been an incredible journey.
St Kilda Road Campus School Captains
We are delighted to introduce Ananya and Campbell.
Campbell thrived at the Elsternwick Campus as a young violinist, and after moving to St Kilda Road Campus for Senior School, has remained active in the music community. He performs with the St Kilda Road Campus String Quartet, Chamber Strings, Symphony Orchestra, Senior Choir and Small Jazz Vocal Ensemble. 'The culture at Wesley is so supportive and encouraging. Everyone cheers each other on, and it’s a great environment and fun to be in,' he says.
Ananya is expecting the year to be busy - she is studying the IB DP, plays the trumpet in Big Band and Symphony Orchestra, is part of the Wesley debating team and plays tennis and dances - but balancing studies and her other interests is something she thinks will be key this year.
The St Kilda Road Captains have experienced the benefits of the strong communities on-campus, and want everyone to feel included. ‘It’s amazing seeing how we can come together, even with our differences in interests, passions and even subjects that we like,’ Ananya says.
