Dominic Wang (OW2024)

International students play a vital role in shaping the diverse and inclusive culture of Wesley College and we take great pride in celebrating their achievements beyond their time at school.


 Forrest Lo receives an award from Head of Campus Sheriden Vella and Principal Nick EvansCongratulations to Forrest Lo (OW2024) from Hong Kong and Dominic Wang (OW2024) from China, who have each received Commendations in the Victorian State Government’s Global Learning Awards for international students – Forrest for leadership and Dominic for academic excellence.

Forrest served as the Social Justice Prefect at our Glen Waverley Campus, was an active member of the boarding community and a passionate singer and received his International Baccalaureate Diploma. He has been accepted into the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he will pursue a degree in Natural Sciences. Dominic, also a boarder and the Victorian Certificate of Education Dux of the Class of 2024, will begin an Engineering degree at the University of Oxford later this year.Olivia Zhang (OW2022) standing outside Cambridge University

Fellow Chinese international student Olivia Zhang (OW2022), who began her Wesley journey in the English Language Preparation Program, has recently completed her second year of an Economics degree at the University of Cambridge. She will commence her third and final year in October and has embraced the challenge of studying at one of the world’s leading universities.

‘Life is intense here - the courses move very quickly and I’m surrounded by incredibly smart and competitive people, but I guess that’s what makes it fun!’ she says.
