Future problem solvers

A team of Wesley College Year 9 students recently competed in the National Future Problem Solving Championships. Isabelle Haddad, Esten Narum, Dan Watson and Miriam Randles tackled topics such as social isolation, desertification, surveillance society and land transportation, through an exam and presentation. They competed against 33 teams from all across Australia and Hong Kong and were thrilled when they came fourth in the finals, resulting in an invitation to participate in the World Championships, to be held in the United States, in June next year.

The students are delighted that their hard work and preparation has paid off, and they enjoyed challenging themselves against other bright young minds from Australia and overseas.
