Glen Waverley Junior School Concert
Last term our Glen Waverley Years 3 and 4 students took to the stage to perform in the first Junior School Music Concert for 2017. There was a mix of joy and nerves behind the scenes as the Year 3s tuned their instruments and took their places.
We had a large group of solo performers on the night, some having performed at many Junior School concerts before, and some performing for the first time. This year, students performed a lovely repertoire on a variety of instruments including bass guitar, drum kit and guzheng, alongside piano, violin and guitar.
The evening included a mixture of musical styles, ranging from popular to classical. To cap off the event, all Years 3 and 4 students performed two massed singing items: ‘Feel the Groove’, which was accompanied by the Year 4 Percussion Ensemble, and then the wonderful ‘Shoe Medley’ to finish the evening.
The talent in our Junior School was evident throughout these performances!
